Being a grandma is a tough job. There are all of the sweet faces calling me grandma. There are all of the sloppy kisses and tight hugs. There are all of the sweet snuggles when I’m not expecting it. There are the requests for books to be read, toys to be built and cookies to be made. It’s a tough job. I’m up for the task though. When my grandkids come over, I want an easy breakfast and Foster Farms helps me accomplish it so I’m not spending all my time in the kitchen.
Last week I had my grandkids for the day and I needed to grab a few things at the store so they had something yummy to eat. I’ve been doing this challenge and it’s largely produce. These kids will eat some produce, but not exclusively. To keep myself on the straight and narrow and not have temptations, I just don’t have much stuff in the house that I shouldn’t eat. So, off to the local Walmart we went.
Before I go on, let me ask you this. Have you heard of Ibotta? It’s an app that gives you cash back on items that you normally buy. You can get it on your phone’s app store and it’s pretty simple to use. This is what it looks like on the iPhone. I’ve used it some, but my oldest daughter uses Ibotta all the time.
Once you have it downloaded, you can see the stores in your area and how many rebates each store has active at that moment.
Next you click on your store and see all of the current rebates. Right now there is a Buy 1 package of ether variety of Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps and get $1.00 off rebate. You click on the picture of the item you purchased.
Then a screen like the one below comes up. Before you get the rebate, you complete a very quick task. In this case you take a quick survey. I believe this one was two questions. After you take the survey, you have to scan the bar code on the package and the receipt, then your rebate shows up in your account within 24 hours.
Once you hit $10 in rebates, you can cash out for either PayPal or Venmo cash or for gift cards. So nice! You can also link up some loyalty cards. Check out Ibotta for all the juicy details and to save some money!
I took the kids to the area I wanted them to be and let them pick some things out. I showed them the Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps Original Sausage and Pancake and the Pancake, Bacon, Egg and Cheese variety. They are in the same place as the corn dogs, so Owen had to get some of those too. That boy loves his corn dogs. Actually, he just plain loves food.
The boys picked the Original variety, Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps Original Sausage and Pancake. They were pretty excited that they got to pick out their own foods and didn’t even realize that I had steered them that direction. Hee hee.
In case you want to find them too, they are in the freezer aisle with the frozen breakfast items, potatoes and vegetables.
We got out items home and I’m tellin’ you, they started in on me right away. They did not want to wait for their Pancake Wraps. I didn’t tell them that the sausage is turkey sausage either. I just let them dig in. And dig in they did. I added a banana to their plates in the hopes that they would eat the banana first and let the Pancake Wraps cool off. No dice. They were not waiting.
That’s a nice looking pancake wrap and sausage, don’t you think? They all loved them so much that they each ate two Pancake Wraps. I would expect that from Owen, but not really the other two. It was great to see.
Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps have the syrup built right in. I was thinking about how nice that is because there is no sticky mess on the kids or the table. It got me thinking about our upcoming camping trip and how handy these would be. I’m going to get some for our breakfast. They will be super easy to cook over a fire with a two sided grilling basket. No syrup involved. I will get the variety with eggs for the egg lovers and the variety without eggs for the non-egg lovers like me.
Where will you try Foster Farms® Pancake Wraps? Do you use money saving apps? Are you going to try the Ibotta app? I will be using it more and more.
