I love a good pizza. It’s true. Sometimes we can’t find one or I’m just too lazy to go get one, so I decided to make my own sauce and try a homemade one. This Homemade Marinara with Garlic Herb Breadsticks is so good that it might actually pain me to eat take out pizza in the future. Sad but true.
A couple of months ago I made my own pizza sauce for the first time. We were doing a gluten free test on my husband, but I wanted pizza, so I made it myself. I wanted to make sure it was gluten free and honestly, I don’t love the jarred pizza sauce, plus I can’t really read labels here very well. The pizza turned out really great and the sauce was crazy good.
A few weeks ago, we had a pizza and movie night at our place. We haven’t been to the movie in 9 months, which is a little bummer, but not something to complain about when you live in Paradise. A new movie came out on iTunes or Netflix or somewhere like that, Arrival, that my daughter wanted to see and so we decided to make a little party of it with some friends and homemade pizza. It was a fun night and we liked the movie too. She usually has pretty good taste in movies.
I had made a pizza before when our friend Tom was over and he liked the sauce a lot, so he asked if we could make pizza with my sauce instead of buy it. He brought some of the supplies, so that was fine with me. I whipped up the sauce and then used it for pizza. We had extra though, so I decided to try out making some breadsticks too. This was a really tasty snack. I’m so glad I thought of it.
