Well, my team is out of the big game coming up and it makes me sad. Actually, my husband’s team is out and so is my son’s team. What’s a family to do? How about hosting our own party and just enjoying each other’s company and some yummy snacks? We really love the snacks on this particular day. I always make a bunch of different things and we can snack on them the whole game. Today I thought I would share some Game Day Appetizers and Invitations + a Giveaway, in case you are looking for ideas for your party. Just click on the links for the recipes.
The first appetizer is this yummy 11 Layer Dip. What’s really great about this is that it is pre-made in individual containers, so it’s easy to carry around with you and it won’t bleed out onto the other foods on your plate. Nice, right?
These Bacon & Brown Sugar Smokies are crazy good. I could really eat these every week. So yummy. I have the ingredients for this right now. Maybe that’s dinner tonight. Oh yum! Put some toothpicks in them and make it a little easier for your guests to eat them.
This recipe is one of my favorite things to eat. Really. Bacon Barbecue Potatoes are so flavorful. Such a great way to eat potatoes. You know I’m from Idaho, so potatoes are something we eat a lot. You should try these. So good.
Cream Cheese Bacon Pinwheels are A-MAZ-ING, really. Plus, so easy to make. Also, if they cool off, they are still good. The perfect appetizer.
I just realized that I make a lot of recipes with cream cheese. I must love it or something. These Cream Cheese Herb Tomatoes are really good and somewhat healthy, since there is a raw veggie involved. At least that’s what I’m going to count it as healthy. Who is with me?
This is my son’s very favorite game day snack. I have to have it when we watch the game together. Ritz Chili Blitz is not my recipe, but I couldn’t find it online anywhere, so here it is. I saw it on a commercial a long, long time ago and the kids wanted it, so I made it and it stuck.
Have you ever had Tortilla Roll Ups? They are probably the favorite appetizer I make. Any time we have a get together, someone requests them. It also happens to be the most viewed recipe on Fearlessly Creative Mammas. Funny how that happens. A big surprise here, it has cream cheese.
Now that you have some ideas for what you will serve your guest, how about some fun invitations? My friend Rachel introduced me to Sendo Invitations and it’s a really neat idea. You go to their site and create a free account.
After you set up your account, you click on the ‘Create New Event’ button on the top of the page.
There is a list of events to pick from. Since we are talking Super Bowl here, that’s what I picked. You click on the one you want to make.
When it comes up, you can edit the default words on the page. I didn’t want gambling at our party because let’s face it, it’s going to be all about the food.
Then you fill out the information so they are sent to the correct people.
The invitations are sent via email. This is what they will receive in their inbox. So much nicer than bills, right?
When they open up the envelope, the invitation you created will show up and they can respond there.
Finally, you as the host can sign on and see your responses and see if you need to resend the invitation to anyone. Nice right? (Keep reading for the giveaway) Sendo Invitations allows you to send to up to 10 guest for free and then charges after that amount. Also, if you don’t like what they have already built, you can design your own invitation. Fun right?!
Sendo Invitations is offering one reader a free custom design invitation, sent to an unlimited amount of recipients. This is open worldwide. To enter, simply answer this question in the comments below. For an additional entry, share the giveaway on one of your social media pages. Just enter a separate comment with the link. Here’s the question: If you win the giveaway, what kind of party would you throw? That’s it. Good luck! Giveaway ends on 2/8/16 at midnight mountain time.
