Halloween is upon us and while it isn’t my favorite holiday, I do love seeing all of the little kids dressed in their cute costumes. I also love the selection of candies in the store. Shocking, I know. Since I don’t really go all out to celebrate and don’t make a lot of crafts and foods dedicated to Halloween, I joined with a whole bunch of talented blogging friends to bring you over 110 fabulous Halloween ideas! From costumes to parties, crafts and home decor, recipes and free printables, we have so many fun ideas to share! I guarantee you’ll find a project that you would love to incorporate into your Halloween festivities. All week (Monday through Saturday) myself and my blogging friends will be sharing our fun creations with all of you. Each day will include approximately 20 Halloween projects and you can “hop” from one blog to another to check them all out. All of the links are below, so it will be so easy to find some inspiration.
I decided to do a Candy Corn sign for my door, you know how I like stuff on my door. It’s actually still inside the house, but the owl on the door will soon be replaced. It was a quick and easy thing to make and I made it with stuff I had on-hand. I didn’t have to go out and buy anything. Love that!!
I used a piece of wainscoting that I had laying around for the base of the project. It measures 36×4 inches in size. I also used the three colors of paint for candy corn, vinyl that I had say Happy Halloween, Halloween stickers I had left over from my Paper Pumpkin craft for September, which you can see on this post and ribbon and twine from my scrap drawer.
I had these fun stickers left over from my Paper Pumpkin box and I remembered them as I got to this point and thought that the sign needed a little something extra. I put some of those stickers to liven it up. They are birds and trees. There were skulls too, but I’m not a big fan, so I didn’t use them.
The last thing I did, and forgot to photograph, was to drill a couple of little holes in the top and string some burlap string through the holes. Then I glued some little bows to the top in Halloween colors. Now to hang it on the door.
