We received these awesome boxes of supplies from the Paper Pumpkin to review and write about. They are also giving one away to one of you, so nice. All opinions expressed here are 100% our own.
Have you heard of The Paper Pumpkin? I’m picturing you saying ‘no’ here, so I will tell you about it because it is so neat! We were introduced them them when we went to Build Your Blog Conference in February. They left a kit in our swag bags. Side note here. I may go to all the conferences. I’m seriously in love with the swag bags. They are so much fun! Anyway, we read what they put in our bag and were interested in introducing them to you. Here’s why. They are so fun and functional. That hardly ever happens together!
Paper Pumpkin is a division of Stampin’ Up!, but you don’t have to go to a party to get the packet. What you do is sign up to receive a monthly kit delivered to your door and like magic, a box filled with awesomeness shows up! How cool is that?! Okay, you do have to pay some money, but in this kit below, there was materials to make 8 cards! This was Samantha’s kit and as you can see, it is full of thank you and congratulation cards. Perfect for this any time of year.
The Paper Pumpkin website says, “Each month a fully designed project kit arrives in a delightful box filled with stamps, ink, and paper—everything cut and ready to go so you can skip to the fun. Just think of it as creativity in a box.” I love that! Creativity in a box. So true. They also provide you with really great instructions so you don’t get lost.
When you open your box, it looks so pretty inside. Like this picture. Then you dig in to find what’s inside.
You also get an acrylic block, but probably just on your first shipment. Don’t throw it away because the sticky words stick to it to create stamps. It’s pretty neat. They send you ink too.
The other day Samantha came over and we sat and made a few cards together. It was fun because we usually do our projects on our own and just see them later. Actually, we usually see each other’s projects when they show up on the blog. This was lots of fun and I’ve decided, and not discussed with her at all, that we need to do crafty stuff together more often. We only live 10 minutes from each other, so it shouldn’t be too hard.
These are the cards Samantha made. She said that you could paint the words too if you want, they are made out of wood, but she likes them plain. I think she is right.
I made this card. I love it. Now I can just write something on the inside and I have a great birthday card for my dad.
Doesn’t this sound like a fun mail day? We all need some fun mail in our lives, right? I hate getting bills in the mail. No fun at all.
